A delayed 11pm report, just after the Yankees won the 1978 World Series. The simple titles were used on many NBC O&O and affiliate stations, as was the music – a remix of the early 1970s ticker with the NBC chimes added in. Sponsor names were commonly displayed during NewsCenter 4 opens during this era. Chuck Scarborough and Marv Albert both feature here; Marv went on to be a famous sportscaster with NBC and TNT, while Chuck has become an institution at WNBC (he's been there since 1974).
