On the Buses

Created by Ronald Wolfe and Ronald Chesney, On the Buses saw bus driver Stan Butler (Reg Varney) living with his overbearing mother (Doris Hare), his frumpy sister Olive (Anna Karen) and his lazy brother-in-law Arthur (Michael Robbins). His life is made a misery by bus inspector Blakey (Stephen Lewis), who doesn't take kindly to all the mischief he makes with his pal and conductor Jack Harper (Bob Grant).
