Pages from Ceefax
At weekends in 1993 BBC1 broadcast a publicised Pages from Ceefax slot, starting at 7am and lasting until the first programme of the day, which on Saturdays was always at 7.25am. These were longer transmissions than during the week, which had been reduced from 30 to 15 minutes at the start of 1993 following an earlier 6am start for Breakfast News. 1993 had seen the Ceefax service revamped which saw a change of page for the In Vision sequence, from 198 to 196. The 1993 Pages from Ceefax service also saw the re-introduction of sport and financial pages, which had been absent since 1989. The start-up from this day is on the BBC1 1991 continuity page and here is the last five minutes of that day's Pages from Ceefax. Apologies for the brief picture break-up 2/3 of the way through.
