The death of George Woodbridge, who played Inigo Pipkin, mid-way through the second series marked a pivotal moment for the show. In the wake of his departure, the series underwent a transformation, adopting the new title ‘Pipkins’. With this change, the character Johnny, played by Wayne Laryea, stepped up to take over the puppet shop as its sole proprietor.
