Based on the movie "Cattle Empire" and using 3 of the actors, Rawhide followed a group of cowboys and their 3000 head of cattle, as they drive the herd towards Sedalia (50 miles east of Kansas City). It also launched the career of a certain Clint Eastwood…no me neither. Running for 6 years, it is among the most successful Western tv series ever made.
