Read More About It…

"Read More About It" appeared near the end of many CBS programmes, specials, or movies – primarily those that targeted kids and families. An actor from the programme would present a list of books related – however tenuously – to the programme that just aired, all of them recommended by the Library of Congress. All of the PSAs followed a very rigid format and used the same script no matter if it was Beau Bridges, Walter Cronkite, or Garfield giving the recommendations. The animation lasted throughout the 1980s, but here it's paired with very scary background music.
