Revolver

If Top of The Pops was disco, Revolver was punk. Comedian Peter Cook played an underground nightclub owner and introduced The Jam, Ian Dury, Tom Robinson et al to baying rock fans in the audience. Intended to go out in a 1845 slot on Saturdays, ITV got cold feet and played it later at 2300, just when its audience would be at a gig!
