A new presentation package for RTÉ Two, designed in-house by Ultan Courtney and Conor Cassidy of RTÉ Graphic Design, was introduced on 17th September 2009. Maintaining the red and orange colour scheme and the theme of rooms used in the 2004 package, the ident sequences make use of two unusual mascots, a venus fly trap plant and a pug dog, who star among various other species of flowers and insects.
