Sammy and Bruce (2)

A spectacular 1980 show, originally called "Bruce and Sammy" until Bruce Forsyth phoned LWT executives and insisted on the order of names being changed around – as he explains in his autogbiography. By the time of this show, the two entertainers had known each other for twenty years. It's a real testament to their friendship and hugely watchable to this day. Bruce has repeatedly listed it as one of his career highlights: "The best TV show I ever did was with Sammy Davis Junior. I played for him when he sang, he played for me when I sang, and when people come to visit now and I show them the tape, it still stands up as a good show."
