Scotsport

Wait? Scotsport on Channel 4!? It DID happen! For the 1986 World Cup Qualification, Scotland thrashed Australia 2-0 on the first leg at Hampden Park on November 20th 1985, but for the second leg, Scotland went to Melbourne, which took place on December 4th. This caused a headache for Scottish, due to the time difference between the UK and Australia, they couldn't put it on ITV because TV-am were there. So, after negotiations with the IBA, it was decided Channel 4 could show the match! Hurray! Although Scottish still kept Arthur Montford and pundit Kenny Dalglish in the studio in Glasgow, as they were too tight to fly them out to Australia for this match, which ended 0-0, but Scotland went through on aggregate thanks to the 2-0 victory at Hampden Park! Hurray!
