Prestwick Airport was built at the end of the Second World War specifically as Scotland's Transatlantic Airport. In fact, legislation had to be enacted to allow such flights from Glasgow and Edinburgh airports. Also, the shot of the building in the end card was a photo of STV's then HQ at Cowcaddens in Glasgow.
