This is an example of how the Oxford opt out of South Today started out in the early 2000’s. The first 10 minutes of the program being dedicated to Oxford news items whilst the rest of the programme would be the main program from Southampton, except for a short time on Fridays when full length editions came from Oxford. As part of regional news cuts made by the BBC in 2022. The TV studio in BBC Radio Oxford were closed. The final bulletin airing on Friday 15th December 2022 hosted by Geraldine Peers.
