Set in Boston’s South End, ‘St. Elsewhere’ is a drama centred around St. Eligius, a deteriorating urban teaching hospital. The nickname ‘St. Elsewhere’ is medical slang for hospitals catering to less desirable patients or non-teaching institutions. The series boasts a notable cast including Ed Begley Jr., William Daniels (known as the voice of K.I.T.T. in Knight Rider), Denzel Washington, and Howie Mandel (host of the US ‘Deal Or No Deal’).
