This is the reason why the BBC felt they had to refer to the cartoon, Top Cat as Boss Cat. When the BBC bought it from Hanna Barbera, this brand of cat food was on sale in the UK. Fearing that the show would give the product free advertising, the BBC had special title cards inserted and all announcers and presenters had to refer to it as Boss Cat. The correct name of the cartoon was only restored in the early 1990s.
