The World Cup: A Captain’s Tale

This sports drama from Tyne Tees Television tells the story of West Auckland F.C. a team of part time players who represented England in what some describe as "The First World Cup", the Sir Thomas Lipton Trophy in 1909 and 1911. This starred Dennis Waterman, Tim Healy, Richard Griffiths and Nigel Hawthorne, this was taken from a repeat broadcast on May 24th 1986.
