The series was set in and around Sydney's Albert Memorial Hospital, in it's heyday The Young Doctors was rubbished by critics for its poor scripts and unconvincing acting, but that of course was its charm, like Crossroads. If real nurses wore dresses as tight and short as those in the soap, they'd probably end up in hospital beds themselves! The series ran for 6 years.
