Bruce Parker
Bruce Parker, the face of BBC South since the 1960s. Bruce joined BBC South Today in 1967. Before this Bruce ran a BBC radio pilot scheme in the Channel Islands in 1964 which was the forerunner of all BBC Local Radio Stations. Bruce was also the first presenter of The Antiques Roadshow with Arthur Negus. He also presented a BBC 1 network arts programme called Mainstream in the 1970's. Although now not one of the main presenters, Bruce is BBC South's Political Editor, presenting political programme South on Sunday and the occasional mews bulletin. Bruce has now retired from BBC South Today, holding the accolade of being the longest serving BBC Regional presenter!
