ABC Monday Night Football

This impressive, award-winning open from 1987 translated the mechanics of football to – of all things – a pinball machine! A mixture of live-action footage, video effects, and computer graphics help create the illusion, and the triumphant music just sells it. While the ABC Sports logo here was used for only a year or so, the open was used for a bit afterwards – complete with outdated logo.
