Richard Greene’s portrayal of the legendary Robin Hood in this cherished adaptation marked one of Lew Grade’s first and most successful forays into the American market. As one of the inaugural broadcasts on the UK’s ITV network, the series was pioneering in its production scale. It vividly brought to life the escapades of Robin Hood and his devoted Merry Men amidst the enigmatic depths of Sherwood Forest.
A total of 143 episodes were broadcast over 4 series between 1956 and 1959.
