We can't accurately date this episode, but it probably comes from the very end of the Peter, Lesley and John period, about 1978 judging by the set design. Both John (plus Shep) and Peter would leave by the end of the year and be replaced by Simon Groom (plus Goldlie) and Christopher Wenner. Lesley stayed on until 1979 and left to nurse her husband's MS. She was replaced by Tina Heath.
