Bobby Thompson was a legend in the North East, so much so that Channel 4 and Tyne Tees filmed him at the Percy Main Social Club in Newcastle in 1982, and here it is getting a repeat! Over in Border TV land, they can’t sell the ad space, so Channel 4 viewers had this for nearly 4 minutes! Sadly, Bobby Thompson died 8 days after this was shown aged 76.
