Bowler

Writers John Esmonde and Bob Larbey took the character Stanley Bowler (George Baker) from their own series 'The Fenn Street Gang', where he had been Peter Craven's rather shady boss, and elevated him to his own series. Bowler was an arch spiv, a petty villain with a finger in any and every profitable pie. He had a right-hand man whom he called his valet, Reg (Fred Beauman), and he was estranged from his wife Doreen (Renny Lister).This clip is from Series 1, Episode 9.
