BBC Choice

Before BBC Three there was BBC Choice. The general entertainment channel was launched on 23rd September 1998 as the BBC’s 3rd general entertainment channel to compliment BBC1 and BBC2. The channel also featured regional variations for the Nations – Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, but they ceased on 1st June 2001. Eventually the channel closed during the early hours of February 8th 2003.
