UTV 2003 – 2006 Branding

UTV’s flirtation with similar idents to the rest of the ITV network came to a final end on Thursday 20th November 2003 when their first phase of panoramic films of various locations across the region. They did keep a hold of the ITV network ident jingle – well, one of them – until 2005. Additional presentation was added on 11th April 2005.

UTV Day

The 11th April 2005 saw the launch of ITV Day, UTV copied the look and replaced the ITV logo with it’s own. The creaters, Bruce Dunlop Associates said the following about their design: “ITV Day effectively creates a new brand, which along with a change in programming and schedule will alter viewer perceptions.
