On 1st September 1989 Yorkshire Television adopted the Generic ITV look, lock stock and barrel. It become clear the management at YTV wasn’t overly happy with the ident since the Chevron no longer took pride in place on the new package. To recertify this problem, a static version of the ident was created which held the start of the ident, allowing the Chevron more airtime. In early January 1991 the full ident was revised with the Chevron appearing in full at the end instead of “ITV”.
