JSTV

JSTV – Japan Satellite Television launched on the Astra satellite in March 1990 for viewers in the UK and Europe. It originally broadcast for 2 hours between 8pm – 10pm after the closedown of Lifestyle on Transponder 5. Later in 1990, 3rd June it moved to it's own dedicated transponder and increased it's hours to 12. JSTV ceased broadcasting on Astra 31st October 2001. Today it broadcasts to Europe via the Hotbird European satellite.
