BBC Sport

The BBC first introduced the ‘BBC Sport’ brand for its sports coverage in 1988, coinciding with the Summer Olympics in Seoul. Despite having a long history of sports broadcasting, prior to 1988, it was presented under individual programme titles, such as ‘Grandstand’ and ‘Match of the Day’. In 2007, BBC Sport, along with most other BBC departments, relocated to Media City.
