Sky’s journey began as Satellite Television Ltd (SATV), established by a former Thames TV employee under the on-screen identity of Super Station Europe. In 1984, the company underwent a rebranding as Sky Channel and has since then established itself as the world’s largest media conglomerate, boasting an extensive portfolio of satellite channels in the UK and worldwide, along with a diverse range of newspapers and media outlets.
