Ceefax was the world’s first teletext information service when it went live on the 23rd of September, 1974. It was play on words, allowing people to “see facts” (see what they did there?). It ended on the 23rd of October 2012 and slowly, ever so slowly, disappeared down to a little white dot in the centre of the screen.
