Jeremy Thompson

Jeremy Thompson is a British journalist and news presenter known for his extensive career in television news. He was born on February 23, 1948, in Farnborough, Hampshire, England.

From presenting Look North in Leeds, Jeremy moved to London to report for ITN. Thompson then went on to have a successful career in journalism, primarily with Sky News. He played a significant role in the early years of Sky News, joining the network when it was launched in 1989. During his time with Sky News, he covered a wide range of major news events, including wars, political developments, and humanitarian crises. He served as a foreign correspondent and anchored several news programs, making him a familiar face to Sky News viewers. His reporting took him to many parts of the world, and he was recognised for his calm and authoritative style.
