A monumental period drama focusing on the final years of the British Raj in India. The series starred Susan Wooldridge, Art Malik, Tim Piggot-Smith, Peggy Ashcroft, Warren Clarke and Charles Dance. The series was based on the Raj Quartet by Paul Scott. Produced by Granada Television for the ITV network, the fourteen episodes were transmitted between 9th January 1984 and 3rd April 1984.
