This is the traditional open tease that Globo runs at the beginning of each newscast. Anchors give the most important headlines of the day. Originally, they had a longer CGI open, with an ending that blended digitally with the set and a flyover with the camera crane. second clip – A re-join after first commercial break. Anchor William Bonner took over as main anchor at Jornal Nacional in 1996, after longtime anchors Cid Moreira and Sergio Chapelin retired. Before that, Bonner anchored other Globo newscasts such as Jornal Hoje (early afternoon), Jornal da Globo (latenight) and SPTV, the local newscast from São Paulo's Globo owned station.
