The Late Show started as a round table discussion show hosted by Clive James but the format was dropped after series two. Notable occasions were comedian Keith Allen drunkenly calling the producer a "dickbrain" (before apologising seconds later) and artist Michael Craig-Martin descibing his latest piece, a glass of water on a shelf, as "An Oak Tree"
