Viewers might notice similarities between Mock the Week and Whose Line is it Anyway? Dan Patterson and Mark Leveson devised both formats, swapping rounds of improvisational comedy on any given subject for rounds of off-the-cuff stand-up and one-liners on the week's news. Host Dara O'Briain recalls Clive Anderson in briskly awarding points to anyone or everyone just to move things along.
