Jim Henson took his idea of Kermit & friends organising a variety show to Lew Grade in 1974 and it was an outstanding success in family entertainment. Five series of 120 episodes. Pitched at both the US market as the UK. All the programmes were recorded by ATV at Elstree who had to constantly bring over American guest stars who were virtually unheard of in the UK.
