BBC Look East 1995 – 1997

A new set of titles was introduced in late 1995. Don’t know about the desk though, I guess BBC East wasn’t sure either, it was soon changed to a more stream line desk! The next big change for Look East came on the 6th January 1997, when Close Up was launched. The opt out within Look East offered viewers in the West of the region (North Buckingshire, Bedfordshire, North Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire) It’s broadcast from the Sandy Transmitter. This was replace by full editions of Look East from Cambridge in 2018 which ran until 16th December 2022.
