Midlands Today started with very humble beginnings on 28th September 1964 from a studio above a car showroom on Broad Street in Birmingham. On 10th November 1971 it moved to Pebble Mill, the BBC’s purpose build studio complex at Edgbaston.

When those studios closed on 22nd October 2004 it moved to The Mailbox in Birmingham city centre.
