Midlands Today (Late News)
New, it's not
Quality: ST
In 1987 the titles for the main edition were updated but still using the original technicolor theme. In late 1988 the theme Technicolor was remixed by a Midlands today viewer, does anyone know who? But did this remix warrant a complaint on Points of View, what do you think? Note that multiple title sequences were developing each having different pictures from around the region. From the 31st October 1988, the BBC logo was added to Astons in the background of the main editions/bulletins and news titles were introduced for bulletins with a slightly different theme. Also on the same day bulletins were moved from 6:35 to 6:30 and extended to nearly 27/28 minutes.
