School Around the Corner

One of the first domestically-produced entertainment series on RTÉ in the early-1960s, a UTV-commissioned revival of the series began in 1994 with RTÉ DJ Gerry Ryan providing a listening ear to the tall tales of schoolchildren from across Northern Ireland. Gerry was replaced as SATC host by UTV's resident weatherman Frank Mitchell in 1996, who hosted ten series until it was axed at the end of 2005.
