Harry Hill's TV Burp is something of a coup in that the four terrestrial broadcasters permit the funnyman to ridicule their programmes (flimsy formats, weak scripts, unrealistic plots, wooden acting, etc). Mixing surreal antics, slapstick, and a fair few double entendres, this much accoladed show prevails with children and adults alike in a Saturday evening slot – its belch-accompanied title a stroke of comic genius.
