ABC 1 launched on Monday September 27th 2004 at 6am via digital terrestrial tv (Freeview). Owned by Disney, the channel was named after its US network, and also shared the same logo. The channel broadcast 6am to 6pm, and showed US programming including Moonlighting and daytime soaps
