Emergency Ward Ten

Due to falling ratings it was decided to convert the programme from a soap to a one-hour drama. These were transmitted on Thursday evenings, the first being on Thursday 29th September 1966. The series even had a new set of titles and theme. The transmission time slot was changed again to Tuesday evenings at the beginning of 1967. The change in format didn't work and Emergency — Ward 10 ended in 1967. ATV executive Lew Grade later admitted that cancelling the series was one of the biggest mistakes he had ever made.
