Meridian Tonight 1993 – 1996

Meridian news lauched on 1st Janurary 1993, with Meridian Tonight on 4th January 1993. Unlike TVS who had two sub-regional news programmes, Meridian had three: * South (eastern Dorset, the Isle of Wight, southern Hampshire and West Sussex), based in Southampton* East (East Sussex, Kent and southern Essex), based in Maidstone before moving to New Hythe in 1994. * West (Berkshire, northern Hampshire, and parts of Wiltshire and Surrey), based in Newbury. The theme music used during this time was called “World News” by David Dundas.
