Sink or Swim was a three series sitcom from 1980 to 1982, about two brothers, Brian Webber (Peter Davison) and Steve (Robert Glenister) struggling to make their way in bed-sit London. Brian's girlfriend, Sonia was very serious minded and didn't get on with younger Steve. The last series saw Brian go to Newcastle University. The show clashed with Davison being cast as the Fifth Doctor, so filming had to be planned around this.
