Spoof Idents

Spoofing other programmes and channels has been a form of entertainment since the early days of radio. With the advent of television, scriptwriters were able to extend their reach to include not only audio idents or theme tunes, but also graphic idents of the programmes and channels being spoofed. Here, we present a selection of such spoofs, some of which were broadcast, while others remained unaired.
